The Can-SOLVE CKD Network seeks two patient partners to join the Knowledge User/Knowledge Translation Committee.

These volunteer positions will support a broad range of activities across the network aimed at improving the way knowledge about chronic kidney disease is applied to health care and research. (See Committee Terms of Reference for more information).

The two patient volunteers will be responsible for ensuring the perspectives of people living with and affected by kidney disease are reflected in Can-SOLVE CKD’s knowledge translation activities.

Members of the Knowledge User/Knowledge Translation Committee have unique expertise in adult and pediatric nephrology as well as experience in their roles as patient partners, policy-makers, and service providers. Many of the committee’s members are connected to local, regional, and national kidney health organizations.

Expected commitment: Approximately six teleconference meetings per year (with the possibility of an annual in-person meeting). Committee members are also expected to review and provide feedback on strategic knowledge translation plans and activities that support the mandate of the Can-SOLVE CKD Network.

Skills/experience: An understanding of, and interest in, knowledge translation is important.

Interested candidates are encouraged to contact Selina Allu (soallu@ucalgary.ca) outlining their interest in the role and any relevant skills and experience.
